Review Resident Evil - Death Island

Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit and lets the criminals escape. Meanwhile, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, approach advisor Rebecca Chambers to assist in the investigation of a t-Virus outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified.

Familiar character are back to facing new threat of humanity with a mysterious person. Distributed by Capcom as their related game developer and featuring TMS Entertainment, the film has 92 Minutes runtime. Nicole Tompkins as Jill Valentine, Kevin Dorman as Chris Redfield, Matthew Mercer as Leon S. Kennedy, Stephanie Panisello as Claire Redfield, Erin Cahill as Rebecca Chambers, Salli Saffioti as Ingrid Hunnigan, Cristina Vee as Maria Gomez & Daman Mills as Dylan Blake.

There was so much fanservice and it was  enjoyable despite a few flaws. I recommend giving it a watch especially fans of resident evil 2 and the racoon city saga for long time ago. Everyone has their moment, even characters like Claire and Rebecca who were treated so poorly in previous films are given their moments. Leon and Chris still kick ass and make a pretty good team alongside Jill. The motive is as generic as it can be but other resident evil movie can't even give us that. All the resident evil movies has a weird meaningless villains who are basically dumb soulless being but this one has a little bit of meaning. My honest opinion, the action pattern a bit down than the Resident Evil: Vendetta (2017), although it was feature with only Leon and Chris as protagonist.

End conclusion, Death Island is really good and memorizing fan service with vibes Avengers Endgame. As a kid who grew play the games, you'll enjoy this movie. It certainly captures the spirit of RE4 and some of RE2. I'm looking forward to a film more in the vein of RE7 and 8, but until then, this was great fun. Ada Wong may absent from this production, but I do hope for the next project she will be the special one to wait.
