Review - The Marvels

Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences see her shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with two other superheroes to form the Marvels at the same time. Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) and Monica Rambeau are the superheroes who got the impact. Could they solve this problem while also facing the villain ?
Directed by Nia DaCosta merging with casts Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and the Villain casts Zawe Ashton as Dar-Benn. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures as distributor studio and Marvel Studios as production company with budget $220,000,000 (estimated) with 105 minutes runtime untill credit finish. This is the shortest MCU Movies ever made.
The thing I really enjoyed is a few unique aspects that make it stand out. The chemistry between 3 superheroes was fun to watched. Especially, Iman Vellani is bubbling with an infectious enthusiasm. Admitted that those aspects its really need to appreciate by Nia DaCosta's. The supporting cast all compliment with the light story well, with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the Khan family having fun with their side plot. Unfortunately, the villainous Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton) was underutilized and the short runtime felt like it should've stretched to give her more character building. She is less motivate and forgettable. I hope she will never take a part again in MCU futures. There were even a decent amount of well choreographed action sequences but all that does not make up for zero character development, and low stakes.
I think it could have done being another 20 minutes longer for the runtime, which could have been used to flesh out some of the characters, the main villain in the movie could have benefitted from that, you are sort of just expected to dislike her from the get go, but no explanation why you are supposed to dislike her. This did come later in the movie, but it sort of give her some form of justication for being a bit of a git. I have added an extra point for the post credit scene, the only thing I will say about it is that it's not to be missed and will possibly and hopefully change the MCU forever. The hidden scene will be the reason most come to see the movie. It does not disappoint. the hidden scene will be the reason most come to see the movie.
