Review - Expend4bles
The Expendables are the world's last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. They were sent by CIA representatives to Libya in order to prevent mercenary Suarto Rahmat from stealing nuclear warheads for a mysterious terrorist named Ocelot. Elaborate with new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning. Directed by Scott Waugh merging with old casts Jason Statham as Lee Christmas, Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross, Dolph Lundgren as Gunner Jensen and Randy Couture as Toll Road. Allied with newcomers Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as Easy Day, Megan Fox as Gina, Tony Jaa as Decha, Iko Uwais as Suarto Rahmat, Jacob Scipio as Galan & Andy García as Marsh. Lionsgate as distributor studion with budget production $100,000,000 (estimated) with 143 minutes runtime untill credit finish.
First thought after I went out from the theater was "This is barely a movie and I just spend the money for it". The story was less to be call a movie. Nothing worth watching and cringe, I can't imagine actors like Statham's and Stallone's as a leading this movie with full out of their capacities and auras. I respect both of them as a good actor especially in action genre. Newcomers doesn't show anything, they make it from bad to worst, develop character, and action is a big failure. The dialogue is incomprehensible between characters, by the times due to mediocre sound mixing. For a film that costs about 100 million dollars to make, it's absolutely not nearly making that money back at the box office, a total cringeworthy and the movie itself doesn't even justify the cost. The CGI is a big absolute joke, no doubt.
"Expend4bles" is full of disappointment in every aspect for a movie. it's an outright failure. It's a movie that fails to utilize the talents, a plot that's full weird, dull, and empty. I enjoyed the previously films, The second was the best ever with full high expectation and its delivered well, although critics said the opposites. Despite the high expectations set by the ensemble, the film falls flat on every front. With a rating of 1 out of 10, it's hard to find redeeming qualities in this cinematic misstep. Save your time and seek entertainment elsewhere. If you're a fan of the franchise, then you might be able to find some enjoyment out of this movie, but for everyone else, I recommend giving it a pass. Megan Fox, you are wasting your talent here.
